This is getting on my NURBS!

Alright, so I've NEVER worked with NURBS modelling before...

Our first assignment for modelling class was to create a plane...pretty much any plane, using NURBS.

[For those of you who don't know what NURBS is:

NURBS = [Non. Uniform. Rational. Bezier. Spline.]

Basically, each surface or object is made using curves which contain vertices/points. You pretty much sketch out the curves following the contour of the structure. Simple, right? Well, here's the catch: if you move 1 single vertex, other vertices around it are effected as well...and you can never have a fully closed surface.]

When it comes to modelling anything these days, polygons are usually the preferred modelling method...however, after getting to know NURBS modelling and it's separate functions and features, I'm beginning to like it as well. The end result is very very smooth [like butter or chocolate] but the effort is tedious!

Anyways, here is my very first model made using NURBS! [more to come soon...]

Let me know what you think :)
